How to Enroll in Your Hammock Dependent Care FSA

Enroll in a Dependent Care FSA and request reimbursement in Hammock.

Choose your election during benefits enrollment, then use Hammock to request and track reimbursement after care has been provided.

Still deciding whether a DCFSA makes sense for your household? Start with Should I Enroll in a Dependent Care FSA?

During benefits enrollment

When Hammock asks “Do you pay for dependent care?”, select Yes, add a Dependent Care FSA if you expect to have eligible care expenses during the plan year.

Choose your contribution amount based on the eligible care you reasonably expect to use, your employer plan’s limit, and the household rules that apply to you.

Review your election before you sign. Your enrollment materials are the source for the effective date, payroll timing, and whether a qualifying life event can change an election later.

After you enroll

Use DCFSA → Contributions to view the contribution activity recorded in Hammock. Your plan documents explain when funds become available and the deadlines that apply to your election and claims.

When care is complete

Go to DCFSA → Reimbursements, then select Request.

Upload the provider’s itemized receipt or statement. Hammock accepts JPEG and PNG files up to 10 MB and uses the document to prefill details for your review.

Review the claim information, including the provider, service dates, dependent, amount, care category, payment method, and the work-related-care confirmation.

Submit only the portion of care that has already occurred. If one invoice includes completed and future care, request reimbursement only for the completed portion.

Follow your request

DCFSA → Reimbursements keeps each request, its submitted document, and its current status together. Open a request to see what you submitted or whether more information is needed.

Requests are reviewed within 2 business days. If a claim is rejected, a status reason is visible directly in the platform for your review. Hammock Support is available if you have questions.

Hammock Support, your employer, or benefits team can confirm enrollment dates, payroll timing, and plan-specific deadlines.
